    Property Description
With the addition of a fully equipped kitchen, we have converted our B&B into a Four Star Canada Select Guest House. The property, a working trout farm, is nestled in a secluded valley at the end of Doyles Road, but only 2 km from the Cabot Trail and Margaree Forks. The Guest House is across the driveway from the main house. You can see this building in the pictures on this page.

Our Guest House can accommodate up to six people. The two bedrooms, each with four piece bathrooms ensuite, are upstairs. One bedroom contains a Queen sized bed, the other twin beds with a pull out double bed size futon/couch that comfortably can sleep two.

The main floor includes a fully equipped kitchen including dishwasher, toaster oven, microwave and BBQ on the patio. The adjoining living room is excellent for relaxing, reading or watching Satellite T.V., (Star Choice) or viewing a VHS or DVD. A computer offering high speed Internet access is available at no charge to our guests as is high-speed wireless connectivity for those bringing their own laptops. This, along with our unlimited free calling to US and Canada makes it a great place to keep in touch with home!

Laundry facilities are also available.

Our property is an excellent location to come and go as one pleases, accessing the numerous beaches and whale excursions along the Gulf Coast or day tripping to hiking trails in the Highlands, visiting the Highland Village or the National Park, taking one of the Puffin Tours out of Englishtown or Seal Island or traveling to and from Fortress Louisburg.

And, of course, there is the property itself with its own hiking trail, gardens and myriad of birds and wildlife to observe. Ospreys, Eagles and herons are always coming to check out our product and the hummingbirds abound!

For those so inclined, trout can be caught in our U fish or you can purchase from us and cook them on the Guest House BBQ! Rather eat out? Treat yourself to a wonderful lunch or dinner at one of our local dining establishments. Area restaurants offer everything from deli to fine dining experiences and seafood is always available. We would be happy to make recommendations or reservations!

And remember, music, particularly Celtic Style music, is very much a part of Cape Breton culture, especially here in Inverness County. Indeed, during the summer, there is a music venue somewhere in the County virtually every day, be it a Ceilidh, dance or concert! However, IMHO, the Three Fiddlers Ceilidh at the Barn is the best! It is on Friday nights in June, September and October and Wednesday nights in July and August. Should you only be able to spend one night in Margaree, make it a night when you can get to the Ceilidh!
