WE SPECIALIZE IN RELAXATION HERE! Our rooms will enchant you, our breakfasts will please you, and we promise that your stay with us will be a memorable one. Our fabulous property is located on the ridge of the historic battlegrounds of the War of 1866. We are a sixty-acre, scenic country retreat surrounded by equestrian farms and a Carolinian forest, yet 5 minutes from historic Ridgeway and Crystal Beach on Lake Erie -- within easy reach of Niagara´s numerous conveniences, sights and activities. Utilize the opportunities to hike, birdwatch, star-gaze like nowhere else, go to Fort Erie´s world-renown race track/slots, the beaches, the wine trail, our several theatres for the performing arts, the Friendship Trail, the Butterfly Conservatory, Niagara Falls, Niagara-on-the Lake, Welland Canal, the numerous golf courses, museums, antique shows and festivals -- so much to do, so little time!
Guests are served an imaginative brunch-style, candlelit breakfast (never typical) in the dining room each morning. We do our best to accommodate any dietary restrictions. Afternoon refreshments are available in the Florida Room or on the patio situated among the lush, fragrant gardens.
With a separate guest entrance and more than ample on-site parking, our 3 lovely guest rooms (Trillium, Violet´s Room and Eleanor´s Room, the latter two named after Glen and Lynda´s mothers) are beautifully furnished with an interesting mix of Canadian antiques and some eclectic pieces, with one ensuite and one shared (or private) bathroom. Each room greets you with fresh flowers, hand-sewn quilts, fluffy white robes, a sitting area, CD/clock radios, huge closets, a fireplace, and the choice of a double, queen or king canopied bed. The floors throughout are wide-planked pine; additionally, each room is equipped with air conditioning/electronic air cleaning systems and a full house water purification system.
Curl up in front of the guest livingroom fireplace to read a book from our lending library or enjoy a CD from our large collection on any of the steros throughout the house. Provisions are made for the storage of guest bicycles, as well.
