Enjoy country hospitality at our unique Victorian Carpenter Gothic villa in a little railroad town in Virginia's southwest Shenandoah Valley. Bounded by the Blue Ridge mountains to the east and the Appalachians to the west, the inn is centrally located in a small triangle defined by historic Lexington, Staunton, and Warm Springs/Hot Springs.
Comfortable guest rooms and common rooms speak to the history of hospitality at this inn, which has hosted guests like Eleanor Roosevelt and Efraim Zimbalist, Sr. Expansive lawn and gardens lead down to a deck overlooking a wide trout stream, next to the old barn that was once the town livery stable. Survey it all from the verandas surrounding the inn.
Rooms are graciously-sized, all with private baths, sitting areas, fireplaces or stoves, overhead fans, air conditioning, and queen- or king-sized beds. Come and see why our guests return time and again.
A full country breakfast is served daily, with freshly baked coffee cakes, fresh fruit in season, and a hot entree. Dinner is available on Friday and Saturday by advance reservation.
