Just 7 short miles south of charming Mendocino Village, Fensalden Bed and Breakfast Inn sits on several acres of gently rolling meadow, bordered by ancient Cypress trees, in a magnificent setting 400 feet above the Pacific Ocean. During the mid-1800s the Inn served as a stagecoach stop for Wells Fargo, and today the Inn continues to offer warm hospitality, and an array of interesting sights and activities for the traveler.
Fensalden offers eight comfortable accommodations, five with porches or balconies each with a fireplace or gas burning stove, ocean and garden views, private bath (one with Jacuzzi tub), antiques, and a bar refrigerator with a complimentary bottle of wine upon arrival.
The main building includes four common rooms for our guests' use. The wood burning fireplace in the entry parlor is complimented by antiques, pewter collection and Oriental rugs. The Tavern Room offers a conversation area overlooking the ocean where guests can socialize in front of a wood burning stove, and enjoy wine and hors d'oeuvres as they watch the humming birds feed, and are awed by the sunset over the ever changing sea. The dining area of the Tavern Room features an antique walnut table which seats 12. Here we serve a complete breakfast with champagne on Sundays. This table is well suited to board-room style work shops or meetings. The glass enclosed Sunroom overlooking the ocean may be arranged for private parties or meetings of up to 30 people.

Pets allowed in Tower Suite or Bungalow only. $100 deposit taken at time of reservation and deducted from room charges on departure date after Innkeeper has made a walk through to determine all is in order. 1 pet per room.
$25 cancellation fee for all cancellation. We require a 7 day notice prior to arrival date (14 days for holiday stays) for any cancellation. If room is cancelled within the 7 day period prior to arrival and we cannot rebook the room, full charge is made to the credit card on file on departure date.
