Brightwood Guest House is a cedar-paneled cottage retreat situated on two acres of the historic Barlow Trail and surrounded by a clear mountain stream and tall firs. A peaceful water garden adds to the home's serenity.
Sleeping two, it features a sleeping loft with featherbed along with a large bath, comfortable living room, and kitchenette.
Amenities are supplied, including toiletries, 100% cotton sheets, kimonos and slippers, VCR, iron and ironing board, washer and dryer, and much more.
The kitchenette includes table settings and cooking utensils plus microwave, wok, and toaster oven, as well as tea, coffee, and cocoa and cider mixes.
A variety of books, videos, games, puzzles, and art media are provided for indoor entertainment. You also have at your disposal a couple of bikes if you wish to take advantage of fine weather, road and trails. Mt. Hood offers secluded hikes, golf, fishing, tennis, skiing, and great restaurants. Ski packages are available, as is a van shuttle to skiing.

Each morning, settle down with your complementary newspaper to a five-course gourmet breakfast, which is "Certified Organic" whenever possible. Dietary challenges are welcomed!
Breakfast is served at your convenience (usually 8:30 a.m.) on the private deck beside the Koi pond, or inside.
The menu may include nutty scones with Manuka honey, wild mushroom omelets, "scratch" waffles with cream and berries, vegetable frittata and yogurt with fruit and granola.
Complimentary snacks, sodas, cookies, candies, and microwave popcorn satisfy those in-between meal cravings.
