Salt Spring also has frequent ferry connection to Vancouver and Vancouver Island as well as the surrounding Gulf Islands with ferry service from 3 island terminals. Conveniently central to the island and all it's amenities, Island Farmhouse (located directly off and only a short distance from the main Fulford Ganges Road) is happily also easy to find when coming from the ferry.
Island Farmhouse B&B offers you a friendly farm atmosphere on 10 tranquil acres with horses, chickens, and a developing organic garden and orchard. Our charming farmhouse with cedar siding, bay windows, patios and decks, was built in 2003 from timber milled on-site. It's located on an open plateau overlooking valley and distant hillside and is edged by forest. The property has farmhouse, a studio, terraced gardens and ponds, pasture, barns, riding ring and chicken coop to complete the picture.
We offer a choice of accommodation including a self-contained suite with kitchenette, sofa bed, BBQ and outdoor picnic table, hot tub and view decks - perfect for the romanitic couple or small family. We also have two charming budget friendly rooms with bay windows and a choice of double or twin beds within the farmhouse.
Here, you can relax and absorb the peacefulness and farm character of the property. Farmhouse guests are treated to breakfast out of doors on the patio overlooking the valley and horses or at the old oak table in the living room. Many a friendly conversation, sharing of treasures and friendship has arisen around our breakfast table. At night you can swing beneath the stars listening to frogs quietly croaking in the pond or relax in the outdoor bubble tub.
There are also unique fun things to do right here too - Come and jump on the trampoline, meet the horses, collect eggs from the farm chickens - or explore the developing organic orchard and gardens. For the pet owner, jogger or hiker there are forest trails from the property to enjoy. The added bonus is that swimming lakes and Ganges Village are also nearby.
We have accommodation to suite singles couple, group or family travelers. Kids and pets are welcome. Our accommodations can be reserved separately, or for a larger family or group, with early advanced notice they can be reserved together. Open year round, our rates are reasonable and we also offer a special farm holiday experience to.

Our breakfasts are delicious, with menu choices which include our world famous yumlette (made of eggs from our own chickens), organic Salt Spring coffee, a fresh fruit platter, waffles, mufffins, and other delectables. Special diets can also be catered to.
